What is Business Manager Visa?

The Business Manager Visa is a residence status in Japan that allows foreign individuals to apply for long-term residence in Japan if they establish or acquire an existing company with the role of president, director or manager engaged in business and management activities.

Requirement

01. Captial requirement

Company registered capital of at least 5 million Japanese yen or hire 2 employees.

02. Feasible Business Plan

The company must have a feasible and sustainable business plan with actual business operations.

03. Independent Office

Must have a fixed company address in Japan. Virtual office is not accepted.

Naturalization

– Continuous residence for a minimum of 5 years.
– Must either hold a 3 or 5 years Business Manager Visa at the time of application.
– The applicant is required to renounce their original nationality.

Permanent Residency

– Continuous residence for a minimum of 10 years.
– Must either hold a 3 or 5 years Business Manager Visa at the time of application.
– For individuals recognized as Highly Skilled Professionals, the required duration of residence is shortened to 1-3 years.
– Applicates can retain the original nationality.

Visa Application

2. Overall planning for company operation and the application for business manager visa.
3. Assist in developing a professional business proposal.
4. Assist in translating relevant documents required for the visa.
5. Provide the necessary documents for visa application (Osaka Immigration Bureau).
6. Arrange the layout of the office with essential office supplies and take photos.
7. Provide a visa application assistant.
8. Obtain relevant licenses (company business license, seal certificate, etc.).
Step 4

Assistance Upon Arrival in Japan
1. Assist in arranging airport transportation and other travel itineraries.
2. Provide a one-time airport pickup service.
3. Personal assistance (adding Kanji to the residence card, opening a bank account, applying for a mobile phone number, etc.).
4. recommend rental or investment of accommodations in Japan.
5. One-time Japanese domestic service (3 hours, within 3 months of arriving in Japan).
6. Provide up to 8 hours on workdays or 4 hours on holidays accompaniment service (such as medical or educational consultations).
